We currently have a couple of rental options.
In the past, Camalote Camp has had a fleet of vans to rent. In recent years, however, most of our vehicles were showing too many signs of aging and repair bills began to out-weigh the profits. We decided to sell the older rides and begin to replace them with better, more dependable models.
the “Bus-ito”
Remember riding the bus to school as a kid? Well, we can help you relive those days while on mission. Our “Busito” is the perfect rental for any average size team. It can seat between 15-16 people with storage room. It comes with a rear-mounted tool box and tow hitch. Oh, and did we mention it has an automatic transmission, A/C and extra headroom? ($700 USD per week)*
*With any van rental, pick-up and drop off at the airport (50 miles each way) is only $100 USD total. This fee covers extra employees when needed, trailer and fuel. Average fuel price in Belize is roughly $5 USD per gallon.
the Foton
The best of modern group transportation, our Foton 15-passenger van feels very upscale - a bit too much so for missionaries. This van has a tall profile for extra headroom and moving around. Additionally, there is room behind the rear seats for some “stuff”. **Before renting this van, please be sure you are very practiced in changing gears manually - as this diesel van has a six-speed manual transmission. ($1,100 USD per week)*
